SUMMARY:Grave Marking - Portsmouth NH

DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Fort Griswold will be commemorating the Battle of Groton Heights on Sunday\, September 7\, 2025\, at 6 pm\, inside Fort Griswold. It is here that our brave men fought and died on September 6\, 1781. Please join us inside the Fort to mourn the dead\, and celebrate their legacy. \nPrior to the ceremony at Fort Griswold\, CT Line will be marking the graves of 5 Patriots at the Starr Burial Ground in Groton. – This will be a 250th event. \nAfter the grave marking ceremony\, attendees will make their way to Fort Griswold (Monument St. & Park Ave. Groton CT) for the 6:oo pm commemoration ceremony.
