SUMMARY:250th Commemoration - Patriot Reuben Cummings
DESCRIPTION:The New Hampshire Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (NHSAR)\, in collaboration with the John Stark Society of the Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) invites you to attend the unveiling of a 250th Commemoration Marker at the monument to Reuben Cummings near the Turkey Hill Graveyard. \nReuben Cummings was the only Merrimack resident that died in the Revolutionary War. SUMMARY:Color Guard Drill
DESCRIPTION:Role: We will practice marching\, the manual of arms\, and firing. We will be demonstrating for the public and answering questions. \n  \nUniform: Militia preferred (hunting shirt or civilian coat with any color waistcoat and breeches\, any color cravat\, any color stockings\, and any civilian cocked hat). Regimental is also acceptable (brown or blue regimental coat with white waistcoat and breeches\, black cravat or neck stock\, gray stockings\, and military tricorn hat). Cartridge boxes\, bayonets\, and canteens filled with water should be worn.
