Battle of Bennington Commemoration Ceremony
The Friends of the Bennington Battlefield have extended an invitation for NHSAR to participate in the annual Commemoration Ceremony of the Battle of Bennington.
This annual event marks the occasion of the American victory against the British and German forces in 1777 with the reading of first-hand accounts of the Battle, and the laying of wreaths from SAR and DAR chapters as well as other civic and historical groups.
The ceremony takes place at the top of the hill, “Hessian Hill,” at the Battlefield.
