On July 4th, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. While the nation is focused on this significant milestone, just as important, are the events in the years leading up to the Declaration and the events after the Declaration to secure the Independence.

The NHSAR members work with organizations on the national, regional, state and local levels to promote the commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution and the establishment of the United States.
Decade of the American Revolution
The National SAR created the Decade of the American Revolution calendar to list Revolutionary War signature events each year that will be the focus of the National SAR celebration. The themes and celebrations of these events include:
