Color Guard Drill

July 19 @ 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Role: We will practice marching, the manual of arms, and firing. We will be demonstrating for the public and answering questions.
Uniform: Militia preferred (hunting shirt or civilian coat with any color waistcoat and breeches, any color cravat, any color stockings, and any civilian cocked hat). Regimental is also acceptable (brown or blue regimental coat with white waistcoat and breeches, black cravat or neck stock, gray stockings, and military tricorn hat). Cartridge boxes, bayonets, and canteens filled with water should be worn. Camp followers and other members of SAR should wear SAR logo clothing with slacks.
Muskets: This will be a firing event, and muskets should be equipped with flints. Do not bring your own cartridges. Per standing orders, only NHSAR-issued cartridges are to be used at events.

All persons attending these events should be aware that these events may be photographed and/or video recorded and that such images or recordings may be posted on the NHSAR website and social media platforms. The NSSAR Youth Protection Policy requires all youths (younger than 18 years) participating in SAR-sponsored events to be accompanied by a parent or appropriate chaperone, as defined in the policy.
