Lafayette Day
May 20 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Lafayette Day is observed annually in New Hampshire on May 20 to honor General Marquis de Lafayette. Established by state law in 1955, the day commemorates the anniversary of Lafayette’s death in 1834 and commemorates his visits to New Hampshire during his triumphant American tour of 1824–1825.
The 2026 ceremony will be held on the State House Plaza in Concord, NH. In addition to escorting Lafayette as he arrives in a horse drawn carriage, NHSAR Color Guard will Present the Colors and provide a 3 volley musket salute.
