On Saturday, May 17, 2025, New Hampshire Sons of the American Revolution conducted a Patriot grave marking ceremony at the cenotaph of Bradbury Sinkler located at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Bradbury Sinkler was a Revolutionary War soldier who died at Valley Forge.
President Dick Baynes conducted the ceremony. Chaplain Albert Lamson provided the invocation and benediction. Compatriot Tom Gray spoke during the ceremony. Vice-Commander Barry Lewis led the Color Guard—consisting of Compatriots Hans Jackson, Shaun Smith, Elwin Spray, and Dennis Walsh—in providing a three-volley musket salute and a Huzzah following the grave marking and wreath laying. New Compatriot Scott Boulter helped break down following the ceremony.
Compatriot Shaun Smith also represented the Society of the Descendants of Washington’s Army at Valley Forge and placed a grave marker for that organization. Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution were also in attendance. Descendants of Bradbury Sinkler, including Ruth and Lee Morgan, traveled from the West Coast to attend the ceremony.
