The New Hampshire Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (NHSAR) conducted a 250th Anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Bunker Hill with a special grave marking ceremony honoring six Patriots who fought under Major John Stark at the rail fence: Samuel Annis, Jonathan Bell, Peter Butterfield, Moses Little, John Buswell, and John Little.
The ceremony was held on June 8, 2025, at Hillside Cemetery in Goffstown, NH. Representatives from the Goffstown Historical Society, the Goffstown Cemetery Commission, Boy Scout Troop 99, the New Boston Chapter of the NHSODAR, the NH Children of the American Revolution, and several direct descendants joined in the tribute.
Also in attendance were dignitaries from the New Hampshire State DAR, the New Hampshire Historical Society, and the Goffstown Select Board, all coming together to honor the service and sacrifice of these local heroes of the American Revolution.
