The gallery below records the activities of this event for Saturday 12/14/2024 – day one. NHSAR members were in attendance and several participated in the reenactment of the raid on the Fort by crossing the beach from Great Island Common on New Castle Island after the morning’s doings with the arrival of Paul Revere at Strawbery Bank and Prescott Park.
Several photographers contributed to this gallery including: Paul Timmerman, Brush Bradley, Ron Sher, Justin Murray and Bob Chesley. Justin operates a photography business from near Worcester and participates in Revolutionary War reenactments as well as photographing period events around New England. His images are watermarked and more from the day can be accessed at Fort Images.
Images were selected and sorted to follow the events of the day (starting at the bottom at Strawbery Bank and finishing at the top with barrels outside the Fort after the raid – you can step through in either order) and with a bias towards showing NHSAR members. The gallery contains forty-nine images but the total received ran to over three hundred and fifty so we may do more in the future.
