The Second New Hampshire Provincial Congress

A second Provincial Congress, consisting of 144 members, met on 25 January 1775 in Exeter, New Hampshire. While the first Provincial Congress operated on a limited basis, primarily to appoint delegates to the 1st Continental Congress, the second Provincial Congress took charge as a legislative government and John Wentworth was elected President.
